Excellent Index post David. I was torn between KingsleyCast and NN. Your name has a lot of gravitas. The Cast threw me off though so I voted NN. Kingsley Cybernetics maybe? Doesn't quite fit either, I think. NN it is! All the topics you list are fascinating and need to be explored in depth. In my novel I am speculating with Neuroplasticity (Darpa is doing that already, search for DARPA TNT), Neurobionics, AI and scientific advancements (nuclear fusion, superconductors) to combat cataclysmic (climate) events that will make our planet inhabitable and how it will shape society 500+ years from now, while making it an entertaining read, or so I hope.
Thank you, Alexander! Nathan and you motivated the Index Post. I've been looking for lessons from more mature Substacks (like yours), as I am still new to the gig.
I also appreciate your participation in the name vote and the more detailed feedback! It's fun to have an interesting last name, but I think it should be less about me and more about the mission unless there is something truly catchy (=. Human 2.0 or HumanX felt like they would be interesting options as well.
Those are wonderful concepts to tinker with in a Sci-Fi universe. It must be an absolute joy writing and dreaming up potential scenarios that blend such interesting topics. The elements of advancing the human mind of course pull me right in. I'm sure I will enjoy the read when it's ready!
Keep an eye out for future posts, and thanks again for your support!
I use Homo Sapiens 2.0 in Spherean. So yes, definitely a good choice as well! Let’s have a chat sometime about that tinkering and how speculative or probable these concepts are!
Thank you, Nathan! I actually took some inspiration from you and Alexander on this.
Magical is the perfect word. The view from my Airbnb looks like a backdrop to a movie. Did you hit any hikes with your wife while you were here? I am doing the Faulhorn tomorrow.
Alas, not many, no, as we were staying in Bern for the last few days of our trip and so only made it to Grindelwald for a day. We went up to first and did the short hike up to lake Bachalpsee and back. Was stunning, though. Weather was perfect. The views were unreal.
PS I see you've gone for Neural NeXus. Nice! Great name. I was torn between that and Human 2.0. I liked them both equally, but clicked the 2.0 in the poll.
I appreciate the feedback! I changed the name ahead of the poll because we were sitting at the default name. I still want to see the poll result before committing to any going into the future. How did you decide a name?

Fantastic overview post, David. A lot of value in doing something like this.
Great pic, too! I was in Grindelwald just over a year ago with my wife, at the tail end of an incredible trip to Italy and Switzerland. Magical.

It's tough to fit in all the adventures you want, especially when It's quite a trek out here in the first place.
Bump

I don't really recall to be honest. I was just trying to think of names and this came to me, so I stuck with it 😅
I've reached the stage in life where I would rather have an imperfect execution than significantly delay getting out a product.
