The name should definitely not be "Posthumanism" which rings all sorts of negative bells. "Neural Nexus" is a good open-ended name. Open to all sorts of things, even "posrhumanism," if that is at issue.

I agree with your points:

The term "Posthumanism" does carry some negative connotations, so I see your hesitancy. "Neural Nexus" is more open-ended and could encompass a broader range of topics, including posthumanism, without being limited by it.

That said, I initially considered "Posthumanism" because it reflects both perspectives of the future (two sides of the coin) for some of the societal changes I think we are likely to face. On the negative side, for instance, if we continue on our current trajectory (business as usual), technology could very well replace humans in nearly all aspects of labor—both cognitive and physical. In that sense, "Posthumanism" serves as a cautionary term that highlights these concerns.

On the flip side, there's a spark of hope. The term alludes to what could happen if we continue forward with significant medical breakthroughs that advance humans in ways that might be unrecognizable today.

Perhaps "Posthuman" is better suited for a post title on the topic, rather than the name of the entire Substack. I appreciate your thoughts.

Neural Nexus is a good basis, however, there are many neural nexus sites, so it may be prudent to keep looking.
